Delhi is one of India’s Union Territories and is home to New Delhi, the country’s capital. Bordered by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, the urban region of Delhi covers the areas of Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Sonipat and is home to a population of 26 million people.
Delhi is famous for being the political seat of India since the 12th century, during the Turkic and Aghan invasions that eventually lead to the stronghold of the Mughal Empire. Today, New Delhi is one of the largest and most populous cities in India, as well as one of the country’s major tourist attractions.
Not only is Delhi the largest commercial center in North India, it is also the second wealthiest city after Mumbai. The major industries of this region are banking, media, IT, telecommunications, hospitality, tourism and construction.
